Fred was born and raised in Waterloo, and outside of attending the University of Toronto for his undergraduate (B.Sc) and legal (J.D.) education, has been a life-long resident of Waterloo Region. Subsequent to the establishment of his legal practice in 1973, he attained an MBA from Wilfrid Laurier University.
Having previously operated both in a small partnership and as a sole proprietor, Fred is pleased to offer his clients the broad range of expertise and services that Giesbrecht Griffin Funk and Irvine LLP provides.
Fred is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada, the Canadian Bar Association and the local Waterloo Law Association, and practices mainly in the areas of business law, real estate and wills and estates.
Fred’s community involvement has included coaching in minor sports (baseball), Board of Directors involvement in Minor Hockey and the Alzheimer’s Society and conducting legal information seminars for seniors.
