Karin MaiterthProfessional Focus

Karin specializes in adoption law, family law, wills, estate administration, elder law and residential real estate. Karin assists clients who are interested in private, step-parent, relative adoptions and surrogacies. She is a private adoption licensee authorized by the Province of Ontario. 

Karin also practises collaborative family law. 

 

 

 

Community Involvement 

Karin is a member of the Collaborative Family Law Association of Waterloo-Wellington. She also served on the Sunnyside Home Foundation Board of Directors, and is a member of the K-W Business Women’s Association, the Canadian Bar Association, and the Waterloo Law Association.

 

 

More About Karin 

Karin earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Honours Political Science at the University of Waterloo, followed by a law degree at Queen’s University. During law school Karin was part of Queen’s Legal Aid program as both a case-worker and group leader. Karin articled with GGFI and was called to the Bar in 2005. Karin is fluent in German and can assist our German clients in their native tongue, if desired. 

Karin resides with her husband and her two children in Kitchener.
